We started out our day by walking to downtown Lenexa for their annual 4th of July parade. It was a beautiful morning with mild weather. Amy, Ian and Max met us at our house and walked with us and Meg and Brady met us downtown.
We were sitting just a few feet from the train tracks, so Meredith (and Mommy) had quite a scare when the train came by.
After the parade we went home for lunch and everyone took a long nap. Then we went to a pool party at Rick's friend's house.
Later that night we went to corporate woods for the fireworks display. Unfortunately our camera battery was dead by then. Ian had his camera though, so I'll be sure to steal some pictures from his blog and repost them here.
