Returning Home

On our way home from Florida, we got a call from Uncle Bubba during our brief layover in Atlanta. He said that when he got home from work, he found Roxie to be very sick. She had gotten sick in her Kennel during the day and wasn't able to hold any liquids or solids in. Uncle Bubba was Roxie's hero. He consulted with the Vet, got her some medicine, helped her get comfortable and even cleaned up the mess that she had created in her kennel.

This is a reinactment of Uncle Bubba's approach to cleaning up Roxie's mess.

Here is a picture of the state that I found Roxie in when we got home from the airport. She was so sad.

Even with Brian's clean-up effort, it still took a couple of days for me to fully get the smell out of the house and clean everything. On Wednesday night, Mer and I made Uncle Bubba his favorite meal (chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy) as a thank you for all that he did to take care of Roxie while we were in Florida.
