Mer, Max & I joined up with our good friend Julie and her two kids -- Thomas and Megan -- for an event sponsored by the Johnson County Library -- Paint in the Park. Julie's friend Stephanie & her two children also joined in on the fun. The kids had a great time painting and playing with the big bubble wands.
After some painting and bubbles, we settled into the shade for a picnic lunch and cookies to celebrate Thomas' birthday.
Max loved the big wands and large tubs of bubble mixture. Apparently, when he got bored with the wands he decided to see what would happen if he started putting it in his hair -- or maybe he was just hot.
Today was Meredith's first night of gymnastics class. She was an excellent student and loved running around in her new leotard.
