Warm & Sunny Florida

Mer and Mommy headed off to Florida for our annual girls' trip to visit Grandma Sue. Mer was so excited for the trip and a great travel mate.

It didn't take long for Mer to get on the bike and enjoy the warm weather once we arrived.

On our first full day in Florida, we headed to Sanibel Island with Grandma Sue to hit the beach. Mer had a great time walking in the water, looking for shells and digging in the sand.

On the way home from the beach, we stopped at the Croc store to stock up for the season. After a nice nap, we cleaned up for dinner and dancing at the clubhouse.

Mer spent about an hour and half dancing with all of Grandma Sue's friends. She has a lot of moves, including rocker...

pop star...

and ballerina.

Taking a break between dances.

On our second day, Grandma Sue headed for the golf course and Mer and I headed back to lighthouse beach on Sanibel Island. We broke out our swimsuits and packed a lunch to soak in the sun.

We were in and out of the water throughout the day. Not long after we had gotten out of the water, an adorable dolphin swam up to the beach. He was so cute, but I couldn't tear myself away from watching him t grab my camera. It was definately a fun memory for both Mer and I.

Before packing up for the day, we made a sand chair for Mer to relax in.

Once we got back to Grandma Sue's and took a shower, it didn't take long for Mer to fall asleep for a long nap.

For our final full day in Florida, we headed to Naples for some shopping. Mer picked out three new dresses and had no problem posing for some pictures in one of them by Grandma Sue's pool.

In the afternoon, we met up with some of Grandma Sue's friends and their grandchildren at the clubhouse pool. Mer made some new friends and had a great time playing in the big pool with the big kids.

We all agreed that the visit was not long enough. Meredith and I had a great time with Grandma Sue and look forward to more fun visits in the future.
