Valentine's Day

Miss Julie invited us to a Valentine's Day party at her house. The kids enjoyed playing with their friends and making Valentine crafts. Their favorite toy was the ride in car.

Snowy Zoo Trip

Mer and I decided to take a trip to the Zoo with Ian, Max and Zoe on a cold and snowy day. We pretty much had the whole zoo to ourselves, but we were only able to see the polar bear and the tigers as it was very cold and the girls were not having it.
It was worth dealing with the cold to spend time with the adorable polar bear. He is so interactive, swimming right up to his visitors at the window and putting on a show of flips.

Thankfully there is an indoor viewing area for the polar bear. It was very much needed and appreciated by everyone to warm up and play.

The tigers were quite active during our visit as well.

Kaleidoscope Trip

We met up with Julie B. and her kids at Kaleidoscope on a Monday morning. Kaleidoscope is a free children's art center, where the kids are provided with many different art mediums to create to their heart's content. All three kids had a great time exploring. Unfortunately, we hadn't taken into account that it was Martin Luther King Day, so there were many more kids than usual because there was no school that day. Julie and I had our hands full trying to keep track of our kids in the mass of kids running around.

Little Monkey Bizness

During our week off of school and work, Meredith and I spent a morning at Little Monkey Bizness with Amy, Ian, Max & Zoe. Mer had a great time playing and Mommy had a lot of fun playing with the features of her new camera.

Zoe was having some issues when we first got there...

but quickly discovered the fun in Monkey Bizness.

Pearce Family Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with the Pearce family on the day after Christmas and Grandma Polly's house.

Papa joined us for the day as well. He always seemed quite entertained watching the kids and their antics.

Meredith and Max are ready to tear into their large stack of presents.

Meredith is very excited about her Barbie Jet plane.

She was also thrilled to open a unicorn pillow pet.

Zoe wasn't as interested in the presents as the big kids, but she did enjoy all the boxes to climb on, in and around.

Max received a trunk of superhero costumes, which he and Mer quickly broke in as they ran around the house.
